Begin attending speech therapy sessions that are tailored to support your child! We will track progress and listen to your family's feedback to make sure that goals are achieved.

Assessment will look different for every client and is entirely dependent on the individual' age, needs, and areas of concern. Assessment methods can range from  structured, standardized tests to unstructured play, and is most often a combination of methods. Complete language assessments can take multiple sessions. We want to develop a relationship with your child so they know they are in a safe space and will really show us what they can do!

No two sessions look alike because no two clients are alike. At Fog City Speech and Language Therapy, we treat a variety of disorders and difficulties, tailoring goals to each client's unique needs. We break long-term goals down into small, achievable, steps and progress at the client's pace. We believe that our clients should enjoy coming to see  and  work to ensure that each session is as fun as it is productive.  Sessions typically last for 30- 45 minutes.

Consistent and regular attendance is important to ensure continued progress and development. Following each session, your therapist will review that day's tasks, and recommend carryover activities for continued practice at home.  If someone besides you is responsible for bringing your child to therapy, regular email updates can be provided. 

And remember, no one is a greater teacher to your child than you!  You can use everyday activities to create a language rich environment.  This helps to develop skills in the areas of receptive and expressive language as well as speech.

We are currently in network with Brown and Toland (BTMG), and are working on contracts with Blue Shield,

United Healthcare (UHC) and Hill Physicians Management Group (HPMG). We are sometimes able to work

with other insurance providers to approve coverage.
